Hey there, I’m Whiskey—a 4-year-old Husky with stunning black and white markings, gorgeous blue eyes, and a heart full of curiosity and love.
Life hasn’t been easy lately. I used to have a yard where I could run, explore, and sunbathe to my heart’s content. But one day, my person left me with a family member… and never came back. Since then, I’ve been living in a townhome with limited space and not much attention. The person caring for me is kind, but she’s moving out of the country soon and can’t take me with her. So now I’m searching for a forever family who’ll never leave me behind again.
I have a small dog buddy here, and we get along great! We share the couch, chew on bones together, and even eat side by side. I’ve met a few other dogs on walks too—I'm definitely curious, just need slow introductions to feel comfortable.
I’m treat-motivated (just say the word “snack” and watch me shine!) and know some cool tricks: sit, stay, drop it, and high five! I’ve got potential for more too, if you’re willing to teach me. I’m not a big fan of crates, though—I had a tough experience spending long hours in one and even hurt my teeth trying to escape. These days I do better having free roam of the house, though I can get into a little mischief if left alone too long (I mean, countertops are just so tempting when you're bored!).
I’m house trained, and when I had a yard and someone home with me, I never had accidents. I love my walks and get a little excited at first, but I settle in once I’ve had a few minutes to sniff the world.
What makes me special? I’m super sweet, I listen well—especially if there’s food involved, I love helping in the kitchen (just in case you need a cleanup crew), and I’m relatively calm for a Husky. Groomers and vets say I’m one of the best they’ve seen—no drama, just good behavior and a wagging tail.
My perfect home? Somewhere with a yard to run and soak up the sun, and people who are home more often than not or love to take me with them. I’ve been around kids (2nd grade and up) and do great once I feel comfortable. I can be your one and only, or I’d be happy to have a doggy sibling to hang out with.
I’ve been through a lot, but I haven’t lost my hope or my big Husky heart. If you’re ready for a loyal, beautiful, and loving companion who just wants to be home again, I’m right here waiting for you.
Love,
Whiskey 💙
