Franklin's Friends is proud to present the tenth annual HOWL-O-WEEN  Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume Contest on October 26, 2024 from 9 am to noon at Cranes Roost Park at Uptown Altamonte. .  Please join us to fundraise for local animal welfare. Last year HOWL-O-WEEN raised over $35,000!

We will have a dog walk, canine costume contest, adoptable dogs, pet-friendly vendors, music and much more! All proceeds will benefit Franklin’s Friends. Denise Ryan from 98.9 WMMO's Morning Show will return to emcee.  We expect at least 750 animal lovers will come out and enjoy a morning of fun for the whole family. This is an event not to be missed!  

There will be fabulous prizes for top individual fundraisers, top team fundraisers and best costumes!

The Senior Resource Foundation of Ocala (SRFofOcala), a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization, will present the 4th Annual Bark in the Park - A Doggy Expo on Sunday, October 13 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Ocala Downtown Market (403 SE Osceola Ave.)

The event will be FREE TO THE PUBLIC and proceeds will benefit the Marion County Animal Services.

The SRFofOcala is proud to showcase this annual event which features a vast array of services and products, adoptions, food trucks, music, and demonstrations. Both dogs and kids of all ages will enjoy a fun-filled day!

Central Florida Earth Day is back--bigger and better than ever! It will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at beautiful Lake Eola Park in Orlando. Please join us at the largest and most prestigious Earth Day event in Central Florida.

The event will include healthy living and eco-friendly exhibitors, speakers, and presentations; non-profits; fun and games for kids; dog and cat adoptions; restaurant booths; environmental and humane education; artist and craft corners; and live music and entertainment. Central Florida Earth Day will draw both committed environmentalists and those who want to learn more about how to protect our health, the planet, and its inhabitants. You can promote your business or group to thousands of people who want to learn more about environmentalism and the varied products and services that support an eco-friendly and a veg-friendly way of life. All money raised will be used for local environmental education and outreach.

Located in beautiful historic Downtown Sanford (in between West End Trading Co. and Celery City Craft), Pints n' Paws Craft Beer Fest Sanford, FL is a craft beer festival that you bring your dog to. This event is being held to help raise funds for local pet do-gooder and Pet Rescues!!

Once again, Gulfport goes to the dogs, kitties, skunks and other feathered and furry love-bugs on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10 AM – 5 PM.

We’re not kitten around! This paw-some event has helped hound-reds of homeless animals find their ulti-mutt fur-ever homes for 2 decades.

The Animal Rescue Festival & Fun-raiser hosts up to 50 animal rescue groups, pet friendly vendors featuring animal related products, crafts, artwork and other curious treats. Additional activities include pet care education, a pet food and supplies drive, animal training demos, the Florida Weiner Dog Derby, Fun-raising raffles, local shops, restaurants and more.

Purr-haps there is a paw-sibility you could help us by hosting a fun-raiser, donating pet supplies, volunteering, and/or sharing this news with all of your fur-ends? Please join us for our 8th annual Brandon Hawgs for Dawgs adoption event. As before, it is being held in conjunction with a Harley Owner's Swap Meet, so we expect a large turnout as always. Please join us for food, fun, and raffles.

This will be the ninth annual Barktoberfest event hosted by Orange County Animal Services. This event highlights our many wonderful rescue partners and shines a light on their work, their need for support and their available pets. The event will feature dozens of local pet rescue groups with a variety of pets available for adoption, including different breeds, sizes and ages.

The event will also include pet-related vendors, food trucks and the Animal Services mobile clinic onsite offering pet rabies vaccines and microchipping.

For pet owners and enthusiasts in Central Florida, this is a can't miss event!
